If I'm going to do a wireline job and before they rig in, how do I check the wellhead if it's ona vacuum or flowing?

Do I open the mastervalve and then check the the needle valve on the tubin?

I am probably a little late, but if I am not then I might be helpful. It's really pretty easy. I am assuming it has a night cap on it already with a needle valve. Just screw a gauge in(one bigger than your expected pressure) and open your master valve then your needle valve. If it shows no pressure close the needle valve and take you gauge off. Open the needle valve and put your finger over the hole. If its on vacuum you will be able to feel it sucking your finger in. Good luck. And if you have any more wireline questions go ahead and contact me and I might be able to help.
Crazy but true. Check it out
